NEW YORK (KSNT) – K-State senior point guard Serena Sundell is moving on to the next phase of her basketball career. Sundell was selected in the third round, 26th overall, by the Seattle Storm in the WNBA Draft Monday, April 14. She was one of just 15 players invited to attend the draft in person at ‘The Shed’ in New York City. She’s just the ninth Wildcat in program history to be selected in the draft and the 12th overall to join the league.

Wesley Laurendine was officially introduced as the Brother Martin head basketball coach. Laurendine led the Eagles to the LHSAA state semifinals in the last four seasons, including a Division II State championship this year. Laurendine looks forward to bringing that same mentality and work ethic to the Crusaders. “That takes a while. That’s what I want to make sure everybody understands is that to get that mindset and understand how hard that is, to get there year in and year out”, says Laurendine.
