Lauren Cass spent 55 hours in VR, exceeding the previous record, after teammate Chris Shelton’s headset malfunctioned. The team documented the attempt and submitted it to Guinness for official review. The research team at the Virtual/Augmented Reality Lab at Penn State Behrend have potentially set the record for most time spent in a virtual reality environment.

In a competition where 64 products made in Pennsylvania faced off in the annual Coolest Thing Made in PA bracket, Sheetz MTO beat out Crayola Crayons to take the title. More than 65,000 votes were recorded this year through the Pennsylvania Chamber’s X, Instagram, TikTok and LinkedIn pages.
