VERO BEACH, Fla. — Deputies pulled a man accused of fleeing a traffic stop out of a burning vehicle after a chase, the Indian River County Sheriff's Office (IRCSO) said Monday. On Sunday evening, Vero Beach Police Department officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle near the 4300 block of 26th Street. The vehicle fled west, and deputies responded to the area after officers lost sight of the vehicle, a Facebook post from the Indian River County Sheriff's Office said.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Police are investigating after a teen was shot on the Westside Saturday night. Around 8:31 p.m., officers were dispatched to a local area hospital regarding a person shot in the foot, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said. The victim, a male teenager, suffered a single gunshot wound to his left foot, the agency stated. The victim said he was walking in the 3100 block of West 6th Street when he heard gunshots and started running, according to JSO.
