Ford Motor Co. has signed on as the exclusive automotive sponsor of the Kentucky Derby through 2029 with a deal that will increase the automaker’s presence at the Churchill Downs racetrack. Ford, which has about 12,000 employees at the Louisville Assembly Plant and Kentucky Truck Plant, began sponsoring the annual horse race in 2020.
