Missoula, MT (KGVO-AM News) - On May 6, 2025, at approximately 11:42 PM, a Missoula County Sheriff’s Office Deputy was dispatched to a residence in the 2500 block of Flynn Lane in response to a reported home invasion in progress. Dispatch advised that the complainant, Jane Doe, reported that an unknown female, later identified as 38-year-old Ashley Watson, was attempting to force entry into her residence through the front door and was behaving erratically.

Missoula, MT (KGVO-AM News) - To start 2025, average gas prices in Montana have increased in 15 out of 18 weeks. This week, prices have risen again, but just barely. Patrick De Haan is the head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy, and he provided the current numbers. “Average gasoline prices in Montana have risen .4 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $3.16 per gallon today,” De Haan said.

Missoula, MT (KGVO-AM News) - The Missoula County Attorney’s Office filed 11 new felony complaints this week, which is four fewer than last week and less than the weekly average. According to County Attorney Matt Jennings, four of those were violent crimes and four were endangerment crimes. “We did have another case of a person driving drunk down the Interstate,” Jennings said. “Years ago, it seemed like we'd get one or two of those a year.

Missoula, MT (KGVO-AM News) - On May 2, 2025, at approximately 12:05 p.m., officers with the Missoula Police Department responded to the Mullan Station Town Pump after a 911 caller reported finding a male passed out inside a vehicle in front of the business. The complainant stated the male did not respond when she knocked on his window, and she was uncertain whether the male was breathing.

Missoula, MT (KGVO-AM News) - On May 8, 2025, Montana Governor Greg Gianforte secured historic funding to raise starting teacher pay. He signed the STARS Act into law to continue incentivizing school districts to increase baseline teacher pay. Gianforte said the STARS Act, or Student and Teacher Advancement for Results and Success Act, invests a historic $100 million to raise teacher pay, with a focus on educators who are just starting their careers.
