I have never understood why we focus on individual leaders learning leadership skills in isolation from their peers without the context of their work. It seems obvious to me that we lead in context. What sounds impressive extracted from any context often won’t work in a specific place at a specific time. I cannot think of many leadership capabilities that do not require context to be applied successfully.

Although younger generations are often assumed to be more proficient with technology than older colleagues, a recent study from Lloyds found that in fact, nearly 7.5m people still lack the digital skills needed for the workplace today.
