    My heart goes out to all those affected by the LA area fires. I lived in West Hollywood and worked in Santa Monica in late 1988-early 1989. Some of the buildings destroyed are ones I remember. I also remember those good people from the Pacific Palisades I served at the lumber counter at Fisher Lumber when it was on the southwest corner of 14th and Colorado in Santa Monica.
