Catching up with friends over brunch is a legitimate Atlanta pastime. The only thing that has and continues to hamper the joys of midday eggs and waffles are your late-a*s friends—we all have at least one friend or family member who notoriously shows up 45 minutes late to everything with no remorse. And of course, many brunch spots will refuse to seat you until (le sigh) “Everyone in your party is present,” which adds to the agonizing wait times for the hangry and hung over.

For us, it was the complimentary table bread: A crusty country loaf and a side of marinara mixed with pan drippings, giving the sauce a heartier taste that’ll threaten to spoil your dinner. Every meal at this Italian restaurant in Decatur starts this way. Alone, it's enough to make No. 246 recommendable.

The two-level patio with florals and green boxwood provides a perfect backdrop for your friend who always requires a “photo sesh.” The dark, red-accented interior and loud house music add just the right amount of snazz to match your best going-out outfit.
