Just AddedSituated in a quiet corner in Ponce City Market, LaRaiyah’s Bodega feels like stepping into another ecosystem. Ferns hang like curtains, the flower wall looks like it’s been doctored up in Technicolor, and downbeat hip-hop makes the chaos outside feel miles away. Bring that friend who names their plants and keeps a misting schedule more detailed than a strategic report. Smoothies named after rap legends like Nipsey Hussle and Missy Elliott are excellent.

From the Miller Union team, Madeira Park in Poncey-Highland sets the new standard for Atlanta wine bars with New American plates that hit like Steph Curry from the logo and an excellent 11-page wine list you’ll want to photograph so you can stock up at home. So it’s absolutely a spot for people who talk tannins, but even if you can’t tell merlot from moscato, the outstanding food is reason enough to be here. The creamy gnocchi and juicy poulet rouge (available after 5pm) are must-orders.

Just AddedWhile the presentation of Ivy’s Heavenly Cobbler, a counter service spot in Grant Park is cute—it comes in a cross between a cupcake wrapper and a personal pie pan—it’s the least interesting thing about them. The crust is buttery, rich, dense yet still flakier than Atlanta weather. As tempting as it is to just focus there, don’t. The peaches in this cobbler are plump and sweet, and the spice-blend-to-sugar ratio is perfect.

If you’re a gelato fan, Voga Italian Gelato in Inman Park should be your first stop since it has the best in Atlanta. This place serves gelato so rich that we feel compelled to eat it wearing a monocle and pocket watch. They nail flavors like fior di latte, peach, bacio chocolate, and salted caramel, and they're so outstanding you might find yourself in a committed relationship with just one flavor.

Each one of Ivy’s cobblers comes in a small, round tin—like a cross between a cupcake wrapper and a personal pie pan. And while the presentation is cute, that’s the least interesting thing about this Grant Park counterservice spot’s cobblers. The crust is buttery, rich, dense—and flakier than your friend who still can’t commit to weekend plans. It’s tempting to just focus there, scraping up every last crumb, but that’d be a mistake because the thick, sweet filling more than holds its own.
