I’m a sports guy. I write about sports, I think about sports and my life revolves around sports. In fact, one of the reasons I chose to come to Fordham University is that we are so close to Yankee Stadium. Even as I write this, I am listening to a “Talkin’ Baseball” podcast about the CY Young award candidates for this upcoming baseball season, an episode I helped research for my job at Jomboy Media, a sports media company.

A heavily-tattooed man who kept buckets of human remains stolen from Harvard Medical school and an Arkansas mortuary has been sentenced to to two years probation. Jeremy Pauley, from Pennsylvania, was sentenced on Tuesday after he pled guilty to one state charge of abusing a corpse. The 41-year-old was arrested and released on bail in 2022 after police found five-gallon buckets filled with human remains at his Enola home.

After finishing the 2023 season with a 19-36 record, the Fordham baseball team looked to get the 2024 season started off on the right foot against three different teams in Winston-Salem, N.C.The first of the three games was against the top team in the nation, Wake Forest University. This was the first time in program history that the Rams opened up the season against the top-ranked team. Although Fordham outhit Wake Forest, errors plagued the Rams in a 9-3 loss.
