The USF Board of Trustees approved a $407 million expenditure for USF’s 35,000-seat on-campus stadium and other associated projects during a Tuesday meeting. The stadium will cost $348.5 million. It’s a slight jump from the previous price of $340 million the board approved in June 2023. The motion passed unanimously with little discussion. Site preparation in Sycamore Fields first began in February.

Newly-hired Bulls basketball coach Bryan Hodgson was touted by many as a recruiter. Thirty-one days into his tenure and five added transfers later — recruiter seems to be an apt title. Hodgson, who was hired on March 28 from Arkansas State, gained his recruiting reputation in the world of college basketball during his time as an assistant at Alabama. As the deadline to enter the transfer portal came to a close Tuesday, USF’s recruiting class ranked 66th in the country.

The New York Giants announced they will be signing Bulls offensive tackle RJ Perry as an undrafted free agent on Sunday. The signing comes a day after the NFL draft concluded, which saw no USF players selected for the seventh consecutive year. Undrafted free agents sign three-year deals that pay $840,000 annually, which is the league minimum in 2025.
