SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — The San Francisco International Film Festival will continue to showcase films through April 27. While there are dozens being featured from all around the world, Bay Area filmmakers are also well represented. Filmmakers Dr. Jessica Zitter and Kyle Casey Chu are both SF FilmHouse residents for emerging filmmakers. Their films screened this week during the festival. Both say they’re honored to share the art they made in the Bay Area with SFFilm.

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — For the first time in recent years the San Francisco International Film Festival is back to a full 11-day event. SF Mayor Daniel Lurie and former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi were both in attendance for opening night at the Presidio. It is the 68th year of the festival and it includes over 150 films from more than 50 countries. Several Bay Area filmmakers are featured throughout the nearly two-week event.

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — The Museum of the African Diaspora (MoAD) in San Francisco is celebrating its 20th anniversary with an exhibit titled “Liberatory Living,” which explores the concept of revolutionary rest for Black individuals. Since its opening in 2005, MoAD has evolved from focusing on history and migration to celebrating contemporary Black culture through art.
