OAKLAND, Calif. (KRON) — Former San Francisco 49ers star Vernon Davis is trading in his cleats for acting. Davis was at the Grand Lake Theater in Oakland for the Indie Night Film Festival and the premiere of his short film, “The Masquerade.” It was written and directed by award-winning filmmaker Jocelyne Rose Lions. The film — described as “Drama/Fantasy/Sci-Fi” — has deep Bay Area ties and examines themes of gentrification, art and activism.

(KRON) — The Mountain View Police Department (MVPD) is investigating an early morning burglary at a decades-old Mexican restaurant that left its front glass door smashed. Police said the incident happened at 2 a.m. Wednesday at Los Portales Restaurant on the 400 block of Moffett Boulevard. Owner Salvador Puga told KRON4 that thieves stole $300 from the cash register and three cases of ‘good tequila.’ Los Portales Restaurant has been in business for 33 years.

(KRON) — Novato police are asking for the public’s help as it probes a felony vandalism to a Tesla CyberTruck parked in the private driveway of a residence — all captured on home surveillance.
