LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - After more than four months of recovery, Orange County Sheriff’s Deputy Zac Andry was released from Frazier Rehab Institute. Andry was shot in the head during a traffic stop in January and suffered a traumatic brain injury. He had stopped to check on a disabled car at US Highway 150 and State Road 56. During an interaction with the driver, 33-year-old Austin Schepers, Schepers shot Andry multiple times and fled the scene.

NEW HAVEN, Ky. (WAVE) - Business owners in New Haven are cleaning up as water levels start to recede after the area was washed out by heavy flooding Saturday. Parts of the city’s downtown were completely submerged by floodwater from Rolling Fork River after the weekend’s heavy rain. It comes as five swift water rescue teams from Georgia were deployed to Nelson County to assist first responders with rescues. Two of those teams were deployed to Boston and another was deployed to New Haven.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - Flooding is causing massive issues across WAVE Country and some people who live close to the Ohio River have had to evacuate. Residents at Waterside at River Park Place Apartments were told to evacuate on Friday due to the flood threats. The parking lot had been completely submerged when a WAVE News crew made it to the apartment complex, and the people living there were packing up their belongings.
