Good old North Melbourne has kicked off its 2025 Good Friday SuperClash fundraiser with a visit to the Royal Children’s Hospital. The marquee match, Kangaroos versus Carlton, to be played at Marvel Stadium on April 18, will raise money for the Good Friday Appeal. To launch the event, Roos stars Caleb Daniel and Will Phillips brought presents for RCH patients Ronan, 6, and Hamish, 14, and visited wards on Tuesday. Toy brand Mattel donated the gifts.

The Good Friday Appeal will invest $3 million in Victorian regional health services to help sick kids get world-class care closer to home. Good Friday Appeal chairman Penny Fowler said: “This funding will further enhance regional capacity, support essential projects to improve patient care, and provide regional hospitals with crucial resources.”In 2024, six regional health services shared $2.5 million from the record-breaking $23,368,724raised by the Good Friday Appeal.

NGV International will stage a world-premiere exhibition of influential contemporary artist, Yayoi Kusama, in December. The exhibition will show more than 180 pieces by the Japanese-born, US-based artist, and is part of the NGV’s annual summer blockbuster series. Kusama, 95, is known globally for her immersive infinity mirrors rooms and famous artworks featuring dots, polka dots and pumpkins.
