Simon Kennedy, who lives in Hunsbury in Northampton, said the overgrown vegetation along Hunsbury Hill Road forced him to veer off the pathway and into the adjacent cycle lane, increasing his risk of being hit by passing cyclists.

A day care service for older adults has appealed to the public to help find it a second home following what managers said was "soaring demand". Affinity Day Care in Northampton, which was set up in December 2020, supports 110 people each week. Director Fern Overton said she wanted the new location to be wheelchair accessible and have a kitchen. People travel to its home in Duston from as far away as Silverstone - roughly a 20-mile (32km) drive.

The Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC) has performed Romeo and Juliet in a shopping mall during a national tour. The show took place in Weston Favell shopping centre, Northampton, in collaboration with local group Silhouette Youth Theatre. The 90-minute adaptation of the William Shakespeare play is touring schools, theatres and community venues.
