Pete Shergold, 66, whose patch had been Whitley for over four decades, is now hanging up his postie bag. Mr Shergold's daughters, Marie Woolston and Louise Shergold, recently posted to social media that their father was ending his service, which gained an enormous response.

6 1/1 A brand-new budget retailer has opened near Reading, and customers are already enjoying its new selection of clothes and accessories. The new Primark store in Newbury was opened on Tuesday, March 15, with the mayor cutting the ceremonial ribbon. The new shop is located at Parkway Shopping Centre in Newbury, which is the retailer’s 197th store in the UK. Over 100 new retail roles were created to form the Newbury store team, which measures 25,000 sq. ft.

On Tuesday April 22 Reading Buses be making changes and improvements to the timetables of white knight 20, yellow 26, Mereoak park & ride 600 and the London Line 701/702. These changes are mostly to help improve timekeeping and to help better reflect demand.
