LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - A gunshot rings out in Downtown Laredo overnight, forcing one man to be taken to the hospital. According to the Laredo Police Department, it happened at about two Sunday morning in the 500 block of Flores Avenue. The victim, a 20-year-old man was reportedly shot in the leg by a 22-year-old person he knew. The victim was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The person believed to be responsible, along with some other people, were interviewed by police.

LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - This week, families in Laredo are speaking out for those hurt by crime. At a special event, the families of people killed by Juan David Ortiz and Ronald Anthony Burgos shared their stories. They want others to know they are not alone. Among those in attendance was Ciara Munguia, daughter of Claudine Anne Luera — one of the victims. “I think events like these are very important, just to let victims and crime victims know that they are not alone,” Munguia said.

LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - The Laredo Police Department is asking for your help in tracking down a man believed to be responsible for the latest murder in our community. 39-year-old Jose Manuel Gomez-Robledo is facing several charges for what is being considered the fourth homicide of 2025, including murder, aggravated kidnapping, and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. According to police, it started at about 10:30pm Saturday night in the 9500 block of Allen Drive for a shooting.
