EL CENIZO, Tex. (KGNS) - Driving through a certain area of El Cenizo was much more peaceful compared to Thursday night, May 8, when drivers faced heavy rainfall and flooded streets. Following the thunderstorms, one street resembled a river, with El Cenizo Mayor Carina Hernandez reporting that the flooding in that area lasted for about an hour. Residents in the area, like Silvia Santos, say that this situation is expected whenever heavy showers pass through the town.
NALC invites Laredo to participate in nation’s largest food drive

The campaign is organized by the National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC), and participants will collect and deliver non-perishable items such as canned peas, corn and bottled water.

On Wednesday morning, April 30, family members and loved ones of domestic violence victims attended the unveiling ceremony at LPD headquarters. The memorial displayed 74 names of individuals lost to domestic violence incidents since 1991, with officials considering the crime to be one of Laredo’s most pressing issues.

(KGNS) - Troopers and Border Patrol agents collaborated during a chase that ended near The Outlet Shoppes at Laredo on Pedregal St.Authorities reported that the vehicle involved in the chase refused to stop when signaled. Two individuals later exited the car and jumped into the river, swimming toward Mexico. In the end, four people were handed over to Border Patrol custody, with troopers identifying the driver as 17-year-old Jason Alejandro Espinoza.
