Oban TimesNewsThe remaining crew on MV Hebridean Isles have now left the vessel as the ship was powered off for the final time. The vessel has been alongside KGV docks in Glasgow since mid-November and CalMac continued to crew the vessel, at minimum manning levels, under charter until CMAL finalised arrangements to tow the vessel, dead ship, to a recycling facility at Esbjerg in Denmark.

MICT has been developing the Nonhebel Park as a space to enable local businesses to expand and new enterprises to get started. The development currently contains business units, lock-up storage, fenced compounds and storage containers which were all quickly snapped up on opening. Extensive waiting lists are in place for all of Nonhebel Park’s facilities. The latest upgrades will see eight more 20 foot long shipping containers installed to meet the extensive local demand.

The Taynuilt Community Choir is dedicated to fostering a love of music and community through choral singing. It is open to all levels of experience, from those who only sing in the shower to those who have solo experience. The choir welcomes individuals seeking a supportive and enjoyable musical environment, and encourages them to come along for a song or two. Rehearsals take place in Taynuilt Primary School at 7.30pm on Monday evenings.
