Oban TimesNewsThe A82 is closed in both directions at Bridge of Orchy following a vehicle collision. The crash was reported shortly before 11am today, the road was closed around 11.35am. The road is closed between Ballachulish and Tyndrum while emergency services attend the accident. A diversion is now in place, with Traffic Scotland recommending its use.

As part of their transition week, the 30 strong new intake of S1’s got to visit Tobermory Harbour for services day. The crash was reported shortly before 11am today, the road between Ballachulish and Tyndrum was closed around 11.35am, but it reopened around 1.40pm. Traffic Scotland updated: "The A82 at the Kingshouse Hotel , Glencoe, is currently restricted in both directions as a result of a road traffic collision. Motorists are advised to use caution on approach."A diversion was in place via the A85 and A828 over the Connel Bridge, where long queues formed on either side.

Oban TimesNewsNevis Radio is down in Oban due to a technical fault at the Pulpit Hill mast. Nevis Radio has been a popular addition to the town since it launched here last month, this is the first fault it has faced. A statement from the station read: "We have been made aware of a signal issue at Pulpit Hill. "The issue has been identified as a faulty psu unit. We have a spare part, but access needs to be arranged with the relevant people for us to be able to fix the problem.

Judy went to the Victory of Europe party in Easdale village hall in 1945 with red, white and blue ribbons for her hair. She then attended the 75 year anniversary of this event back in the Easdale hall and was treated like a celebrity. Her attendance was reported as a feature in The Oban Times on May 12 2022. Judy went to the Easdale Primary School and then later to Oban High School.
