16 people have been jailed as police have been tackling a County Lines operation that was bringing drugs such as cocaine and heroin into the region. Northumbria Police has been spearheading the action to stop organised criminals shipping Class A drugs into the North East. They were jailed for over 60 years in total between them, with others given suspended prison sentences for their part in the operation.
