Cell phones will soon be more tightly regulated in Alabama schools. This week, the senate passed their version of SB 92 which prohibits a student from using, operating, or possessing cell phones on public elementary or secondary school grounds during the instructional day. The bill's sponsor, Donnie Chesteen, says schools may have had their own phone policies in place, but once Gov. Kay Ivey signs her approval, this will be a regulation at the state level.
