Tampa General Hospital and Boston-based Mass General Brigham plan to open a radiation oncology center in Palm Beach County. The 10,000-square-foot, co-branded and jointly owned radiation center will be located at Legacy Place in Palm Beach Gardens. It marks MGB's first national clinical affiliation, according to a release. The center is expected to open in 2026.

A Phoenix-based restaurant group plans to bring one of its fast-casual eateries to Florida, starting with a location in Sarasota. Flower Child, created by James Beard Award-nominated Sam Fox, is a full-kitchen restaurant that focuses on healthy food items; it's part of Fox Restaurant Concepts. “We’ve been looking for the right opportunity to bring Flower Child to Florida, and Sarasota is the perfect place to introduce one of our most popular restaurant concepts,” said Fox, founder, in a release.

The Tampa Downtown Partnership presented the Urban Excellence awards, honoring projects and people that have impacted downtown. Tampa Preparatory School's new $20 million Genshaft & Greenbaum Buiding of Learning and Discovery, or BOLD, took the People's Choice Award on Thursday at the Tampa Downtown Partnership's 2025 Urban Excellence Awards. The 30,000-square-foot facility has eight state-of-the-art science labs modeled after university research spaces.
