Visitation will be on Thursday, April 24, 2025 from 5-7:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at the Tollefson Funeral Home.

Edith Lee, farm wife and hometown journalist, who lived at her family's farm home near Arvilla, N.D., for 56 years, died March 12, 2025, in the Northwood, ND, Deaconess Health Center where she had lived for several years. She was 96. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 25, 2025, at 2:00p.m. at Living Faith Free Lutheran Church in Larimore, ND. A visitation will be held from 1:00p.m. until the time of the service at the church.

Leonard Brossart, 78, passed away Monday, April 14, 2025 at the Minnesota Veterans Home in Fergus Falls. Leonard was born March 23, 1947 in Rugby, ND. He was the first of 11 children born to Frank & Julia (Jundt) Brossart. Leonard graduated from high school in Knox, ND. After high school, he enlisted in the US Army with military training in WA and CA, and Special Forces training in NC and GA. He achieved Green Beret status and was active duty in Vietnam for an 18-month tour as a Paratrooper.

GRAND FORKS – The Grand Forks Composite Squadron of the North Dakota Civil Air Patrol captured first place in the 2025 North Dakota Wing Cadet Competition at the Fargo 119th Air National Guard Base. The five-member Grand Forks squadron, headquartered at Grand Forks Air Force Base, earned the title of North Dakota’s State Color Guard and a spot at the CAP North Central Region Cadet Competition on May 9-11 at Salina, Kansas.
