    GRAND FORKS — The first spring ball finale for new UND head football coach Eric Schmidt will have a special twist. On Monday, UND announced Brady Oliveira and Digger Anderson will be honorary coaches for the UND Spring Showcase on Friday night at the Pollard Center. The event begins at 6:20 p.m. and is open to the public. The event is free and doors open at 5 p.m.Oliveira will be the honorary coach of the offense, while Anderson will be honorary coach of the defense.

Meanwhile, representatives of Opp Construction, which owns Patio World, say outdoor living is growing in popularity.     GRAND FORKS — Former UND standout Treysen Eaglestaff has committed to West Virginia, he announced late Sunday night. Eaglestaff had previously committed this offseason to South Carolina. Since entering the transfer portal after the season, Eaglestaff was generating recruiting interest from Kentucky, Michigan, Kansas, UCLA and others, according to ON3's Joe Tipton. The 6-foot-6 Bismarck High product averaged 18.9 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.4 assists last season for the Fighting Hawks.
