Julius Randle was a bit of a mess to open the second half of Game 2 against Golden State on Thursday in Minneapolis. The forward committed two turnovers, missed a 3-point attempt and failed to get back in transition in a three-plus minute stretch that helped the Warriors get back into the game. Timberwolves coach Chris Finch gave Randle a quick hook, sending the forward to the bench for the next two minutes, much to Randle’s dismay, which was evident in the veteran’s body language.

GRAND FORKS — The Grand Forks Red River girls soccer team expected to have a strong season this year but perhaps not to this extent. After making the North Dakota Class A state tournament for the first time in 10 years last season, the Roughriders have taken the program climb up another notch. Red River is 9-0-1 entering Tuesday, looking for the program's first 10-win season since 2007-08. "I definitely thought we had a good team," Red River senior defender Alexis Geffre said.

The project — worth more than $36 million — will offer a range of programs that local health care providers have long sought. Partnerships with four-year institutions such as the University of North Dakota and Minot State University will enhance the offerings to address critical health care needs in the area.

GRAND FORKS — The UND football program hopes it addressed two areas of need via the transfer portal on Monday. The Fighting Hawks added Sacred Heart running back Xavier Leigh and junior college defensive back Idrique Carmichael of Pasadena following recruiting visits to Grand Forks over the weekend. Leigh gives UND some experience and depth.
