Three people have been treated in hospital after a car crashed into a property in Lurgan. The collision happened in the Kiln Road area of the town at around 5.30am. Emergency services arrived at the scene, and three people who were travelling in the vehicle were taken to hospital for treatment to injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening. A PSNI spokesperson said: “The driver of the vehicle was cautioned for a number of motoring offences.

Plans for a protest against the ‘largest Orange gathering in the world’ have been announced in the wake of the recent loyalist rioting. Keady in Co Armagh is the location this year for the Orange Order’s Co Armagh Twelfth demonstration. Attracting tens of thousands of spectators, the Co Armagh demonstration is billed as the ‘largest Orange gathering in the world’, and this year will see marchers accompanied by 67 bands.

Queen’s University Belfast has appeared for the first time in the top 200 of a global ranking of higher education establishments. The annual Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) Global University Rankings is published each summer, listing over 1,500 universities around the world. Ranking is determined by factors including academic and employer reputation, and international research networks. For the 2026 list Queen’s has been ranked 199th, up from 206th from the previous year’s ranking.
