A Central Coast leader is being honored with a new photo exhibit. Sonia Chapa immigrated from Mexico at age 4 and moved to the Little Waco labor camp in San Lucas. Now, for the first time in more than 50 years, she is returning to the camp, joined by renowned professional photographers whose images will be featured in the exhibit. Speaking with KSBW’s Paul Dudley, Chapa recalled the many challenges of life back then. Her parents worked all year round, and the kids helped, too.

The 3rd annual Alfred Hitchcock Festival is set to happen this weekend in Scotts Valley. The filmmaker, known as the master of suspense, lived in Scotts Valley while making some of his most famous films and had a few interesting connections to the area. Hitchcock moved to a 200-acre property off a private road in Scotts Valley around 1940 and lived there for three decades.
