Well, it’s officially my turn to say goodbye. I walked into the Daily four days after moving into my Walker Tower dorm in August 2021. I had gone to the university because of the Daily, knowing I just had to work for the campus paper. I’ve watched three editors-in-chief say goodbye and move on to do terrific things in my four years in Copeland Hall. I remember being terrified walking into the newsroom, having little to no idea what I was doing. I never thought I would be editor-in-chief at the time.

OU Daily elected Anusha Fathepure as fall-spring editor-in-chief, Tristen Lewis as fall-spring marketing manager and DiLani Carroll as fall sales manager for the 2025-26 academic year. Fathepure is a journalism and English junior and the current news managing editor. She joined OU Daily as a freshman in August 2022 on the news desk, where she’s worked for the past three years.

He served as president for 24 years, following a 28-year political career that included positions as a state representative, governor and U.S. senator. Former U.S. Senator, Oklahoma Governor and OU President David Boren died Thursday at 83. At 2:22 a.m. Thursday morning, Bob Burke, Boren’s longtime friend and manager of his 1978 Senate campaign wrote in an email to OU Daily Boren died surrounded by family at his home. His lifetime in public service and 24 years as the university's president made him one of the most consequential leaders in Oklahoma history.
