U.S. tariffs on aluminum and steel led to a European promise of tariffs on various U.S. goods, including bourbon, which begat President Donald Trump's recent threat of 200% tariffs on wines from Europe. Lip-Bu Tan deal includes $1M salary, $2M possible bonus, and stock options and grants valued at $66M. When Lip-Bu Tan officially starts work Tuesday as CEO at Intel, he'll do so under a compensation agreement worth about $69 million, according to a filing by the company. Tan, announced as Intel's incoming CEO last Wednesday, will be paid a base salary of $1 million and be eligible for a 200% incentive cash bonus, or $2 million.
