Step inside Xelas by El Sazon, located off Highway 36 in the former Thai Basil space, and you’ll first notice the colorful murals greeting you at the entrance and painted on the walls of the dining room. The title, which was picked in a Department of Agriculture contest almost 60 years ago, is given to one of about 10 finalists representing rural counties in Minnesota, who is picked to be the “goodwill ambassador” for the state’s dairy farmers.
