AbstractCirculating tumor cells (CTCs), and circulating tumor related cells, are extremely rare cells that intravasate from the tumor into the circulatory system and can be captured via a liquid biopsy. Although CTCs contribute to the metastatic cascade, and diverse phenotypes of CTCs have been observed - including the cytokeratin expressing CTCs, CTC clusters, large polyploid CTCs, and CTCs undergoing epithelial to mesenchymal transition - little is known about their functionality.

The new company law, which came into force on 1 January 2023, brings many innovations. We present these in detail in our current blog series. On 1 January 2023, the revised company law came into force, which also applies to limited liability companies (LLC). INTRODUCTION Lung cancer remains the leading cause of cancer-related mortality globally.1 To diminish mortality, guidelines recommend screening patients with high-risk tobacco history with low-dose CT scans (LDCT) to diagnose lung cancer at an earlier, more treatable stage.1-3 The use of LDCT has been demonstrated to improve the survival for high-risk patients.
