Qantas is set to launch an innovative luggage tracking system to help reunite passengers with missing bags using Apple’s AirTag wireless trackers.
The airline says the system will go live in the coming weeks, via an update to the Qantas app.

The chancellor is expected to raise national insurance (NI) contributions for employers at the Budget on Wednesday, according to reports.
The BBC reported on Friday that chancellor Rachel Reeves will announce that employers NI bills on workers’ wages will rise, while the threshold at which companies pay the tax will be lowered.
These measures are expected to raise £20bn for the Treasury.

A study by EY based on the 2021/22 tax year showed that Premier League players and staff contributed £1.7bn in tax, with the Premier League and its clubs combined contributing £4.2bn in total during the year.
£1.7bn is a significant amount of money from a small number of people. It was around 0.4% of the UK total for that year. HMRC figures shows it received a total of £731.1bn in income tax and £392.7bn in national insurance (NI) in 2021/22.

Private equity backed advice firm Progeny has hired Abrdn multi-asset manager Mark Lane as head of active funds.
Lane’s hire is the latest step in a restructure that has seen Progeny Asset Management, the company’s £4bn fund manager arm, set its sights on becoming a much larger player in the market.
