One day you’re everyone’s hero, the next day you’re a villain. The life of a weatherman. We’ve brought lots of sunshine and high temperatures today, with those scorching conditions lasting into the first half of the weekend, but it’s all change come Sunday as things will turn cooler and we’ll all see some spells of rain. We sometimes hold off from using the term hot and try to lean more towards warm, but today has definitely been hot.

A Met Office yellow weather warning is now in place across much of Scotland. Residents in the central belt, Tayside and the Scottish Borders were told to expect snow flurries, which will probably turn heavier for a time, between 3am and 12pm on Tuesday. Those in the Lowlands will likely see snowfall in the 0-1cm range, whilst 1-5cm is possible in places above 200m.

A “danger to life” warning has been issued as Scotland is set to be hit by a winter weather bomb. The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning beginning at midnight on Friday as very strong winds are expected to disrupt the country. The warning expires at noon on Saturday and covers most of Scotland. A deep area of low pressure is expected to pass close to or across the northwest of the UK on Friday and Saturday.

The Met Office has issued a fresh weather warning for snow across large parts of central and northern Scotland. The yellow warning comes amid Storm Darragh, which is expected to disrupt the UK with strong winds of up to 80mph in the south of Scotland and coastal areas.
