FREDONIA, Wis. — A “heavily armed” person is holed up in their home in Fredonia, according to the Ozaukee County Sheriff’s Office. The situation is happening on Fox Glen Road. Power was cut to the Fox Glen neighborhood early this morning, but has since been restored. The sheriff’s office said St. John’s Church and day care, which are nearby, are also closed today because of the incident.

MADISON, Wis. — The father of a Wisconsin teenage girl who killed a teacher and fellow student in a school shooting was arrested Thursday in connection with the case, an official told The Associated Press. A Madison city official briefed on the case but not authorized to speak ahead of the press conference confirmed the arrest of Jeffrey Rupnow was related to the shooting. The shooting on Dec. 16, 2024 left three dead, including Rupnow's daughter, the shooter, 15-year-old Natalie Rupnow.

WAUKESHA, Wis. — A Waukesha County teen has pleaded not guilty to 10 felony charges over the murder of his mother and stepfather, according to CCAP. Nikita Casap, 17, was a person of interest in the case after police found two dead bodies — later identified as Donald Mayer, 51, and Tatiana Casap, 35, his stepfather and mother — in a Waukesha County residence on Friday, Feb. 28. A criminal complaint says that police believe Nikita Casap killed his mother and stepfather on Feb.
