CINCINNATI — Many Hamilton County residents found portions of their homes and yards submerged in floodwaters earlier this month, after torrential downpours and storms hit the region. Those residents could be eligible to receive a reduction on their annual property tax bill, according to Hamilton County Auditor Jessica Miranda. According to Miranda, state law authorizes county auditors to reduce real property values for properties that have been damaged or destroyed by recent flooding.

OXFORD, Ohio — One man is in custody after a SWAT standoff in Oxford Tuesday night. The Oxford Police Department said officers responded to an apartment on W. High Street at around 5:30 p.m. after a woman reported that her ex-boyfriend was trespassing and entered her apartment without her knowledge. Police said officers tried to enter the apartment, but the man had barricaded himself inside and refused to negotiate with officers at the door.

CINCINNATI — Two adults and three children have been hospitalized due to a house fire in East Price Hill, the Cincinnati Fire Department (CFD) said. CFD said the fire occurred in the 700 block of Summit Avenue around 1 p.m. The residence appears to be a multi-family duplex, according to Google Maps. One of the two adults injured is in critical condition, CFD said. CFD also said someone jumped from a second-story window while trying to escape the fire.
