OXFORD, Ohio — The Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity has been suspended from Miami University's campus after allegations that current members and alumni physically abused new recruits, according to the university. According to a press release written by Cleveland lawyers Merriman Legal LLC, a junior at Miami University and three other students were beaten by the fraternity's president, vice president and other members.

CINCINNATI — Two of Kroger's three restaurant concepts, Kitchen 1883, are set to close this month, according to an announcement from Kitchen 1883. Started as "a fresh take on American comfort food" in 2017, the restaurant concept first opened at the Kroger Marketplace in Union, Ky. It expanded into Anderson Township the following year, in 2018, and opened a stand-alone restaurant boasting "new, local dishes" and an outdoor patio.

CINCINNATI — Five different county coroners in the Greater Cincinnati region have signed a letter to Ohio lawmakers opposing the current state budget bill, which they say contains language that would change their position from an elected one to an appointed one. The letter was signed by Butler County Coroner Lisa Mannix, Clermont County Coroner Brian Treon, Hamilton County Coroner Lakshmi Sammarco, Highland County Coroner Jeff Beery and Warren County Coroner Russell Uptegrove.

CLEVES, Ohio — A man is facing child endangerment charges after prosecutors say he locked a 2-year-old child with special needs in a bedroom for hours while he went to work. According to court documents, Joshua Merz is accused of leaving his child "unattended and uncared for for a period of approximately eight hours." The child was found by a neighbor, who discovered the child was in an upstairs bedroom with the door closed and locked, court documents say.

CINCINNATI — Comedian Katt Williams will return to familiar childhood streets this weekend and watch city officials unveil an honorary street sign bearing his name. Williams was born in Avondale, and so was his stand-up career. CINCINNATI — Many Hamilton County residents found portions of their homes and yards submerged in floodwaters earlier this month, after torrential downpours and storms hit the region. Those residents could be eligible to receive a reduction on their annual property tax bill, according to Hamilton County Auditor Jessica Miranda. According to Miranda, state law authorizes county auditors to reduce real property values for properties that have been damaged or destroyed by recent flooding.

WEST CHESTER, Ohio — A 13-year-old is facing charges in connection with a police chase involving a stolen car early Tuesday morning, according to a spokesperson for West Chester Township. The spokesperson said the teen has been charged with receiving stolen property and obstructing official business. At around 2:40 a.m. Tuesday morning, the spokesperson said a Flock camera hit came in for a license plate from a stolen 2018 Hyundai Elantra.

CINCINNATI — A 77-year-old woman has died weeks after she was pulled by firefighters from her burning home, according to the Hamilton County Coroner's Office. The coroner's report shows Carolyn Joyce Woods died Monday as a result of the injuries she sustained during the residence fire. The Cincinnati Fire Department responded to Woods' house on Home City Avenue in Sayler Park at around 5:13 p.m. on Sunday, March 30.
