    The Fremont Tennis complex was bathed in pink Friday for the first of its kind  doubles-only tournament hosted by the Tigers. Fremont took full advantage of playing on their home turf, claiming the tournament title with 127 team points behind one champion and two runner-up finishes. It was the first girls tournament Fremont has hosted at the new facility. "It's great to see all the courts full and people here all day long," said Fremont coach Justin Bigsby.

    The Bergan boys golf test passed their first test of the season with flying colors Wednesday afternoon. The Knights trio of talented underclassmen all secured top 10 finishes, leading Bergan to a third place finish at the DC West Invite at the Pine Country Club. Sophomore Trey Mooney took home the top spot for the Knights with a bronze finish, carding a +5, 77. Sophomore Boston Bojanski and freshman Jackson Luebbe tied at +7, 79, finishing in eighth and ninth place, respectively.

    OMAHA - Emma Diers added to her team-leading goal tally to help Fremont secure a 3-0 win over Omaha Central Tuesday night. “The team did pretty well tonight with possession and that’s a thing we need going forward,” said Fremont co-head coach Chad Manning. The senior scored the game-winning goal in the 20th minute, giving Fremont a 1-0 lead, which stood until halftime. Annika Gildow slid a pass through the Eagles defense, setting up a one-on-one with the keeper for Diers.

    Fremont couldn't recapture the comeback magic that spurred them to a win over No. 2 Papillion-La Vista South Monday night against No. 1 Lincoln East at Schilke Fields. The Tigers spotted the top team in Class A 10 runs in the first inning, which led to a 17-1 loss to the Spartans. Fremont starter Brodie Cone walked five of the 11 batters he faced and gave up three hits and a fielders choice in his 2/3 of an inning appearance. Both of the outs he recorded were strikeouts.

    COLUMBUS—The Fremont boys track team came away with four first place finishes and a handful of strong times from the Columbus Invite, the Tigers first outdoor meet of the season, Friday. “We’re showing some consistency,” said Fremont co-head coach Beth McMahon.
