The body of a 25-year-old man has been recovered from Woodlawn Lake, authorities say. The San Antonio Police Department and the San Antonio Fire Department responded to a "water rescue incident" at Woodlawn Lake Park late Monday afternoon, according to police response records. The man was found in the lake near a tunnel, SAFD Battalion chief Mark Treviño told reporters at the scene on Monday evening.

One person was killed in a crash Wednesday afternoon near the Medical Center that shut down Interstate 10. Most of the top of the sedan appeared to be crushed after the impact. According to the Texas Department of Transportation website, the crash was reported before 1:30 p.m. on I-10 at Medical Drive. All lanes had been reopened before 5 p.m.San Antonio police said the highway will be shut down for the next few hours. Drivers are asked to find an alternate route.

At around 3 a.m. today, Allen Padilla and his family returned to far South Bexar County to see if their houses had survived the fast-moving brush fire that leveled their neighbor's home. Both Padilla and his brother Jesus Padilla's houses on Forest Drive survived. Before heading to bed, the family took a hose and doused small tree fires that still dotted the property. "We were just happy about our houses," Allen Padilla said.

According to the city's active police call website, a shooting was reported at about 2:45 p.m. on Monday at the Ridge at Southcross, an apartment complex in the 4700 block of Stringfellow Drive.

Officials said the man who shot 7 San Antonio Police Department officers is Brandon Scott Poulos, 46. Poulos is dead. The shootings, which appear to be an ambush, happened at about 8:30 p.m. at the Sonterra Heights apartment complex, located in the 1800 block of Stone Oak Pkwy, police said. The complex is located near Cornerstone Church.

A man who works as a youth mentor is accused of having a sexual relationship with a child. Cesar Ulises Renderos, 24, faces a sexual assault of a child charge. The teen's parents made the report to the San Antonio Police Department. Renderos, who was arrested Wednesday, was in the sexual relationship for several months, Camelia Juarez, SAPD Public Information Officer, said. Investigators obtained evidence of their sexual relationship. It is unclear how the two met, Juarez said.

A San Antonio man said that Spirit Airlines flight attendants kicked him off his flight because he was wearing a "FVCK HATE WORLD TOUR" hoodie. Social media posts about the incident are going viral. Spirit Airlines has acknowledged the incident. A woman was killed after being struck by a wanted suspect's vehicle during a police chase on the South Side. San Antonio police were conducting a narcotics investigation around 12:15 a.m. near the 900 block of West Pyron Avenue. Detectives believed a 24-year-old man there had a "large quantity of narcotics."When the wanted man left the location, police followed him. The man fled as they attempted to stop him, according to a police report.

A mother and her two children who had been missing for three weeks have been found, the Bexar County Sheriff's Office reported. On Thursday, the sheriff's office asked for the public's help in finding Ratashia Thomas, 20, and her 1- and 3-year-old children. BCSO officials said the family had last been seen on Dec. 20 as they were leaving their home near Henze Road and Southton Meadows in Southeast Bexar County.
