Despite a five-decade age gap, Don Blay and Jenna Ijam have formed a strong bond while volunteering at LHSC. “She seems to have endless energy,” said Blay, a retired teacher and former court clerk, who has been volunteering at LHSC for the last ten years. Inside an Ontario Superior Court, a London man pleaded guilty to second degree murder on Tuesday. In this case, the judge has issued a publication ban to protect the identities of the children. Speaking through a Mandarin translator, the man agreed to the statement of facts presented by Crown Attorney Kristina Mildred. She described the brutal killing by the accused on the evening of March 11, 2022, in the basement of their home in quiet residential street in the north end of the city.

OPP officers are getting ready for a busy Easter long weekend working around the clock to keep the motoring public safe. They will be holding a province-wide seatbelt campaign and traffic safety blitz. According to the OPP, failure to wear a seatbelt was a factor in 90 fatal collisions on roads they patrol in 2024 -- 26 were in the London region. “If you are heading out this long weekend, please pack an ample supply of patience.
