OPP officers are getting ready for a busy Easter long weekend working around the clock to keep the motoring public safe. They will be holding a province-wide seatbelt campaign and traffic safety blitz. According to the OPP, failure to wear a seatbelt was a factor in 90 fatal collisions on roads they patrol in 2024 -- 26 were in the London region. “If you are heading out this long weekend, please pack an ample supply of patience. A London-based educator is celebrating her 50th birthday in a truly inspiring way: by running 50 kilometers to raise $50,000 in support of Vanier Children’s Mental Wellness. A bag of dead cockroaches was displayed at a rally held outside 85 Walnut Street, where residents say the building is infested with all sorts of pests, including mice, bed bugs and roaches.
