JUNEAU, Wis. — U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) said it arrested a man last week accused of threatening to assassinate President Donald Trump. Ramon Morales-Reyes, a 54-year-old Mexican national, allegedly entered the United States illegally on nine separate occasions between 1998 and 2005. Morales-Reyes is currently in ICE custody inside the Dodge County Jail.

APPLETON, Wis. — Senate Republicans released a budget resolution that sets the stage for more than $880 billion in federal program cuts. Congress is still negotiating policy specifics, but there are concerns about the future of Medicaid, Medicare, the Affordable Care Act and SNAP, the federal nutrition assistance program. Nearly 1.3 million Wisconsinites could lose access to their health care safety net because of proposed Medicaid cuts, according to enrollment numbers from January.
