The Denver Broncos rank 12th in ESPN FPI, or Football Power Index. That new list just came out today, and it’s projecting the Broncos back to the playoffs for a second straight year. When the 2025 season kicks off in less than 100 days, Denver won’t be a surprise team. They’ll be right in the mix as legitimate contenders. ESPN’s Football Power Index ranks all 32 teams based on projected offensive, defensive, and special teams efficiencies and the Broncos are 12th overall.

Bo Nix ranked low on the list of 32 quarterbacks by Pro Football Focus. This is nothing new for Nix or Denver Broncos fans to see, as he was consistently placed near the bottom of the league last year. But that was Nix’s rookie season. And he excelled. That’s why this year’s ranking is quite surprising. Bo Nix came in at 19th in Pro Football Focus’ offseason 2025 quarterback rankings. On one hand, that’s much higher than he was getting ranked last year. Which was consistently in the mid-20s.

The Denver Broncos are projected to make the playoffs after the 2025-26 season, per statistical models and on FOX Sports reporter. The Denver Broncos strength of schedule for the 2025 season is out, and they have a good shot at making the playoffs again. The Broncos play the two Super Bowl teams from last year–and the Chiefs twice–but they also have a schedule filled with bad teams. The NFL schedule release is tomorrow, so we don’t know when Denver will play each opponent, but we do know they’ll play in London vs. the Jets and in Kansas City on Christmas Day.

Jahdae Barron is predicted to win Rookie of the Year on defense by ESPN’s experts. In fact, two different analysts picked him to win. Meanwhile, Denver Broncos second-round pick RJ Harvey was also picked by one expert to win Offensive Rookie of the Year. Those are some high expectations, but both picks are needed to provide instant impact in 2025. Many NFL Draft analysts have Barron playing outside, opposite of Pat Surtain, but he may be better suited in the slot.
