NancyonNorwalk’s summer intern Malik takes us on a tour of the Norwalk Conservatory of the Arts, a creative haven where aspiring artists hone their skills with guidance from industry professionals. Founded in 2018, this conservatory offers a range of programs, including Musical Theatre, Dance, and Television/Film Performance. During the Pre-College Intensive Program, students participate in masterclasses, seminars, and workshops to prepare for a career in the arts.

Here’s a look at five things that happened at the Norwalk Common Council meeting on Tuesday. 1. New Common Council member Nicole Eaddy was sworn in. Eaddy, a Democrat from District C, replaced former council member Jenn McMurrer who resigned earlier this month. “It’s nice to see somebody step up to serve the community,” Mayor Harry Rilling said.

There’s a new chapter in the Wall Street Place development saga that dates back over a decade, as the Common Council voted Tuesday on the third amendment to the agreements governing the development. The council voted 13-1 on the new amendment to the two documents that govern the project: a land disposition and development agreement (LDA) and the loan recognition agreement (LRA).

Parents with children attending Norwalk Public Schools in September can say hello to two new principals, Randall Austin of South Norwalk Elementary and Beth Furnari of P-Tech High School. Austin was a South Norwalk student who grew up in the area. He started his career at Kendall Elementary School as a kindergarten paraprofessional from 2013 to 2014, and was “briefly” the assistant principal of South Norwalk Elementary, said Superintendent Dr. Alexandra Estrella.
