    Station Casinos’ free Fourth of July fireworks displays at three of the company’s Southern Nevada resorts will have special viewing areas attendees would have to pay for. The company announced this week that it will charge $35 per person 12 and older and $10 for children 2-11 for admission to the special viewing areas at Red Rock Resort, Durango and Green Valley Ranch. Children under 2 are free. The Fireworks by Grucci displays are scheduled to begin at 9 p.m. at each location.

    A gaming industry analyst has noted a downturn in second-quarter hotel room rates in Las Vegas, a possible indicator of a softening market, but isn’t ready to buy in to the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority theory that it’s due to consumer uncertainty. Barry Jonas, an analyst with Atlanta-based Truist Securities, noted rate weakness in a Tuesday report but said rates could be languishing due to typical downturns that occur when the weather gets hotter.

    A U.S. District Court judge is allowing the Nevada Resort Association to intervene in a lawsuit filed by a New York-based federal prediction market against Nevada gaming regulators. Meanwhile, a second prediction market has filed a similar lawsuit against regulators. District Judge Andrew Gordon on Monday signed the order enabling the NRA to defend its members’ interests in KalshiEx LLC’s March 28 lawsuit against members of the Nevada Gaming Control Board and the Nevada Gaming Commission.

    The three-year, $600 million renovation of the Las Vegas Convention Center is expected to result in immediate dividends for Southern Nevada tourism. With additional space available to rent — space that is expected to house the most modern and consumer-friendly meeting venue in the world — is seven months from completion.

    Rampart Casino at the Resort at Summerlin will open its 50,000-square-foot high-limit room next month with a “Must Hit By Jackpot” promotion. The high-limit room, part of a multiyear $75 million renovation that included the hotel, conference center, casino, spa and restaurants, also includes a new high-end luxury bar open 10 a.m. to midnight daily.
