The Strat hotel-casino is introducing a locals-only loyalty program designed to “recognize and reward Southern Nevada residents.”Strat True Locals offers exclusive discounts on dining, entertainment, gaming and staycations, according to a news release. The new locals-only program gives eligible guests benefits Sunday through Thursday at The Strat and Atomic Golf, which is adjacent to the resort.

The world’s largest casino collectibles show opens Thursday at the South Point’s Exhibit Hall D. The three-day show, the 32nd hosted by the nonprofit Casino Collectibles Association, has $10 admission on opening day, $5 from 9 a.m. to noon on Friday and free after noon Friday and all day Saturday. The show runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., each day.

A megaresort at the north end of the Strip is off to a rocky start in 2025 as it continues dealing with the financial and reputational fallout from a high-profile gaming violation, executive changes and operational miscues. Resorts World reported a 22 percent year-over-year decline in revenue and a 75 percent dip in earnings during the first quarter of this year, according to recently released financial statements by the casino-hotel’s parent company, Genting Berhad.

The newest casino on the Strip is betting on a revamped player loyalty program to attract more gamblers. Fontainebleau announced a handful of changes to its rewards card program Tuesday, including a better coin-to-earned-point rate on slot machines, a year-long gaming promotion and more free play for new members. The North Strip megaresort is also extending the current earning window for existing players through the end of the summer.
