    A Strip casino has laid off an undisclosed number of table games dealers in recent days, according to multiple sources familiar with the situation. Fontainebleau, the $3.7 billion megaresort at the north end of the Strip, would not disclose the exact number of jobs that were eliminated. Two sources at the property with direct knowledge of the layoffs said the total could be “dozens” or “as many as 60” dealers.

    The largest casino workers union in Las Vegas announced new tentative contract agreements with two Strip operators. Culinary Workers Union Local 226 and Bartenders Union Local 165 have reached three-year deals with Resorts World Las Vegas and The Cosmopolitan hotel-casinos, covering close to 4,500 employees across both properties. The tentative agreements include “the largest wage increases ever negotiated in Culinary Union’s 90-year history,” according to dual news releases.

    Just before one of Las Vegas’ busiest weekends, a new party pool on the Strip is making its debut. The Go Pool at Flamingo hotel-casino is officially open following a $20 million renovation, according to the property’s parent company, Caesars Entertainment. The new aquatic complex at Flamingo features five distinct pool areas spread over 1.5 acres.
