    Aiden Matthews and William Edwards weren't sure how it was going to go after Rogers Coach Matt Fulton paired them together as a doubles team. But it went very well for Matthews and Edwards, who played their best tennis during the Class 6A state tournament at North Little Rock. Their play was instrumental for Rogers, which won the state team title with 11 points. Fayetteville was second with 10 points and Bentonville third with seven.

    A new season, a new approach. That was the thought process for Glennah Langford after she teamed with Kavya Kurichety to win the Class 6A state doubles championship as a junior in 2023. As a senior, Langford took over at No. 1 singles for Bentonville, and she finished second at state while helping the Tigers win the team title at the Class 6A state tournament in North Little Rock.

    So, who's this guy? Where's he been? That's the question Arkansas fans are likely asking after freshman receiver Dazmin James showed up and showed out at the Liberty Bowl in Memphis. James set a school record with his first career reception when he took a simple slant pass and sprinted 94-yards for a touchdown in the first quarter of Friday's 39-26 victory over Texas Tech. "I'm just fast, man," said James, who caught 3 passes for 137 yards in the game.
