Severe weather threat Sunday night, Monday across southern Minnesota Sunday and Monday are both NEXT Weather Alert days in southern Minnesota, including the Twin Cities, due to the elevated threat of severe weather. After some showers early Sunday, the metro will get a break in the afternoon through the early evening, with highs in the low 60s.

NEXT Weather: 11 a.m. report for Minnesota on Nov. 24, 2024 MINNEAPOLIS — Sunday will be mostly cloudy and quiet before a chance for some slushy conditions at the start of the work week. High temperatures are going to hit the lower 40s as most of the state stays dry throughout the day. The next system starts to move in late Sunday evening. The metro will see rain for most of the night while there is a higher chance for snow up north where there could be some accumulation.

There will be a bit of a breeze coming in from the southwest at about 15 mph. The highest wind gusts will be in the southwestern part of the state with gusts up to 25 mph. Monday and Tuesday will be even warmer with temperatures in the mid- to upper-70s.

MINNEAPOLIS — It's a chilly but sunny start to the weekend in Minnesota, with temperatures on the rise for near record warmth next week. Saturday morning started off in the 30s in the Twin Cities, with temperatures dropping as low as the 20s in some places across the state like Bemidji. The sunshine will continue into Sunday, where the highs with hold strong at around 60 degrees. Clouds will move in later this evening.

MINNEAPOLIS — Sunday is the first official day of fall and with it comes cooler temperatures for the next few days. Sunday will feel like a typical sunny fall day with temperatures expected to top out around 70. It will be a breezy day with wind coming from the north between 10-15 mph. It'll be a chilly night with frost advisories issued for parts of northern Minnesota from 2 a.m. to 8 a.m. on Monday. Overnight lows in the Twin Cities will dip down just below 50.
