Lincoln Domino was 2 years old when his mom, Janee, and his dad, Jason, introduced him to fishing. A few weeks ago, now 6-year-old Lincoln, managed a feat not easily achieved by full-grown adults, when he single-handedly reeled in a 16-inch crappie. When Lincoln was slowly reeling in the fish, he felt a hard yank. “He immediately thought it was stuck on a log until his dad saw the line going out farther in the pond,” Janee said.

The world’s very best hide ‘n’ seek champion since 1958 will be taking time from his busy schedule to visit Weston on Saturday, April 26. This is the fourth year in a row Bigfoot will challenge kids and adults to try to use their best detective skills to locate him. The Weston Chamber of Commerce is hosting the event, and is encouraging local residents to bring their families to the 4th Annual Weston Bigfoot Search.

The annual Parkville Microbrew Fest, one of Kansas City’s largest beer festivals, will officially turn 21 on Saturday, April 26. And the organizers are expecting about 2,500 attendees to celebrate this popular annual event, which will offer a vast variety of beer brands, food, music and hundreds of ‘cheers.’The event will take place from 1 – 5 p.m. at English Landing Park in historic downtown Parkville. The first festival was in 2004, and it featured eight local breweries.
