WORCESTER — More than 200 people protested on Worcester Common Tuesday evening against the Trump administration’s immigration policies and the arrest of a Brazilian immigrant in front of her daughters on a city street last week. “What do we want? Due process,” and “ICE out of Worcester,” the crowd chanted, led by Mysti Green, an organizer with Worcester Indivisible. “I cannot watch our community get attacked, kidnapped, and deported into horrible conditions,” Green told the crowd.

EAST BOSTON — The flags of the United States and Vatican City flew at half-staff outside the Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church as parishioners gathered for evening Mass on Monday. Inside, a memorial portrait of Pope Francis stood on the altar — a black cloth draped atop the frame and white flowers at the base. “This morning when I saw the news, I didn’t know how to react,” said Gloria Landaverde, who teaches Bible classes at the largely Spanish-speaking parish.

As the sun set over City Hall Plaza in downtown Boston Tuesday, more than 100 protesters gathered to denounce the detention of Tufts graduate student Rümeysa Öztürk, who was apprehended by masked immigration agents on a Somerville street last week. The demonstration opened with a collective declaration delivered by anonymous Tufts graduate students, all members of the Tufts Grad Workers Union, of which Öztürk was also a part.

A bone believed to be that of a human skull was found by a hunter in the woods off Route 3 in Plymouth earlier this month, according to local police reports. Around 9:30 a.m. on March 6, the hunter was following deer trails when he came upon what initially looked like animal bones partially covered by leaves, the report said. Upon closer inspection, he observed that the skull was too round to belong to an animal, and appeared to be the upper portion of a human skull, the report said.
