Students and faculty were asked to come up with new solutions for challenges that face our current world. University officials say the challenge inspired many researchers to think outside the box. One of the winners was Srikar Adhikari, a professor with the College of Medicine.

TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) - The Father's Day Council Gala is set to take place this Saturday, honoring four local fathers and raising funds for diabetes research at the Steele Children's Research Center. Eric Cornidez, a managing partner at the Pain Institute of Southern Arizona and one of the honorees, is a Tucson native who chose to raise his family in the community that shaped him. Eric went to Sunnyside High School and his wife Ariana went to Pueblo High School.

Young talent from all across Tucson will take the stage this Friday and Saturday at the KU Studio Talent Showcase. The event will be held at the Berger Performing Arts Center. The performing arts school will present a high-energy, Broadway-style production showcasing performers aged 3 to 18. KU stands for Kids Unlimited.
