(KVOA) - The Father's Day Council Gala is set to take place this Saturday, honoring four local fathers and raising funds for diabetes research at the Steele Children's Research Center. Eric Cornidez, a managing partner at the Pain Institute of Southern Arizona and one of the honorees, is a Tucson native who chose to raise his family in the community that shaped him. Eric went to Sunnyside High School and his wife Ariana went to Pueblo High School.

The performing arts school will present a high-energy, Broadway-style production showcasing performers aged 3 to 18. KU stands for Kids Unlimited.
