Temple, Tx (FOX44) – A Temple man and a Waco woman have been arrested following a theft investigation triggered by a loss of almost $1500 in candles at a Temple store, but leading to more. A Temple Police Department spokesperson said it started with a call officers got on Saturday April 26 from a store in the 3100 block of South 31st Street. The store manager said a man and a woman had arrived and began filling bags with merchandise.

Belton, Tx (FOX44) – A 42-year-old Temple man has been sentenced to 25 years in prison after being convicted on charges of sexual assault of a child. Sentencing for John Coty Duck came Thursday in Bell County’s 264th District Court. The court found him guilty on three counts with a 25-year sentence handed down on each. Court records showed the prosecution had requested the sentences be stacked, but the court ruled that they would be served concurrently.

Temple, Tx (FOX44) – The occupant pulled from a house that was destroyed by fire on Hickory Road in Temple Wednesday has died at the hospital. Firefighters had reported that the occupant was critical when transported. Three dogs who were also in the house were dead at the scene. Firefighters responded to the fire at 3011 Hickory Road at 4:23 p.m. Wednesday, finding heavy smoke and flames coming from the single story residential structure when they arrived.
